My 6 year old daughter's bottom teeth are coming in crooked.?

Her permanent teeth have been growing behind her baby teeth. But even after the baby tooth comes out, there still doesn%26#039;t seem to be enough room for the permanent teeth. Is there a chance they will straighten out? Or does this mean her jaw is too small?

Hmmmm, my mom%26#039;s a dentist, and this is what she said:

Most teeth will come in crooked if the baby teeth don%26#039;t come out first when the permenant teeth are coming in. You shouldn%26#039;t worry unless she is 9 or 10 and nothing has been changing, in which most cases the kid will need braces. But, don%26#039;t worry. They should straighten out!!!
Reply:They could straighten out, but she is too young to worry about that right this time... you need to have her checked at the dentist office, if the dentist thinks there is concern... you will be asked to take her to the orthodontist.... they like to check them by age 7 anyway... doesnt mean jaw is too small.. just could mean crowding of the teeth....
Reply:I would get her to an orthodontist...6 is a little bit young but there are so many things to be done to help before the permanent teeth come in. Most of the consult%26#039;s are free for the 1st visit so I would not hurt anything to call and make an appt.
Reply:Your jaw grows the most from 6 years to 12 years, so her jaw may be too small now, but she is just at the beginning of the biggest growth period for her jaw. Just keep taking her to the dentist regularly so that they can keep an eye on it, but I wouldn%26#039;t worry about it now.
Reply:The very last teeth behind her baby teeth are her 6 yr molars, her permanent teeth. As for others I would think it is too early to tell, she should be seeing a dentist for regular check ups. They will be able to tell you, and usually early orthodontic treatment begins about 8 yr olds there are more adult teeth in at that time.
