I want to save my daughters baby teeth in some kind of permanent setting, any ideas?

I was thinking of some kind of resin or something similar but have no idea what kind of products and materials to look for,its for her memory box when she is a grown up.

I want to save my daughters baby teeth in some kind of permanent setting, any ideas?
Why not try a dental lab, they be able to set them acrylic for you or they have some wax that they can place them on in a strip but you%26#039;d still have to be careful they dont fall off.

Or you couldnt try plain old super glue on a little bit of wood and put in a window box.

Ive got my childrens baby teeth in a little trinket box.

You need to keep em air tight or they could start to smell.

Its nice that you wanna keep them though.
Reply:If your serious then I think some kind of a small box with a glass top and a lid. You don%26#039;t want it on display all of the time.

Instead choose a tasteful box/display box on the mantle piece. Handy to open and go ahhhhhh but not in anyoones face who doesnt want to see it.

I am of course assuming u have visitors. If not though you can put some wet cement on the wall and stick them into that.
Reply:that%26#039;s kind of creepy.

Maybe just set them aside in an envelope or something and give them to her when she grows up, if she wants them.
Reply:Call a local pediatric dentist. They should be able to make some suggestions, but talk with one of the dental assistants, not just the receptionists. Usually the assistants have more of a chance to visit with the pharmaceutical reps., and they may even have a catalog or brochure with something like that. You may need to call one or two offices to get the info you need. Good luck!
Reply:You need to soak them in a 10% bleach solution for 24 hours to kill bacteria and stop them smelling. Then rinse well under running water, and dry.

Just put them in a trinket box, they really freak other people out. Only mothers think they%26#039;re cute.

Set in anything they%26#039;ll just start to look like one of Marilyn Mansons dolls...
Reply:Have look in craft or hobby shops, or on the web for sites selling craft supplies.

You can then decide the best way to display these.
Reply:drill holes in them and wear them as a necklace
Reply:that strikes me as just plain odd.

they are teeth, human teeth, do you keep your old pets and stuff them for posterity too?
Reply:you can have them gold plated. i%26#039;m not sure where you live, but with a little research you will be able to find a jeweller that will be able to do it.

goodluck wrestling them back off the toothfairy though! : )
Reply:A nice resin shape polished and fixed to a neck-chain would be nice for one or two of them.

Stick them in a shrunken head and keep it in a jack-in-the-box.
Reply:The thought makes me shudder, save her shoes or a lock of her hair, but uuurgh!
Reply:that will be nice when she starts to date you can show them over a glass of milk and some cookies......she will be so pleased...oh dear....oh dear...oh dear!!!
