What should i do about my teeth?

i am 16 now but when i was 9 i fell and chipped my two permanent front teeth, the dentist took one off and filled the other one and gave me a kind of permanent retainer(with a fake front tooth on it) which ive been using since i was 12, i'm sure i need braces but missing one front tooth. now i've had a cavity behind a tooth(the one in front, close to the sharp teeth) for about 5 months now and that tooth looks dark from the outside, what are the dentists going to do to me? about everything?

Damn, Similar story for me. When I was 9 as well I fell off my bike and both of my permanent front teeth fell out (including the root, the full tooth. D: ) Now I'm 15. Anyway, I immediately went to the dentist and they had them forced back in. Of course they were chipped so they filled them (or something...)Now, they are planning on removing the teeth because they are decaying and giving me a removable retainer with fake teeth on them. Apparently there isn't much we can do (females..) until our faces are done growing. By then, I will be able to get implants. Back to the braces. I am in need of braces as well even though my teeth are pretty straight. I think they can implant two fake teeth on the braces for that. Unsure.
Reply:oh my gosh. sounds like they will pull that dark one out, im no expert but it seems beyond salvation. otherwise probly just give you braces without a bracket for either of the teeth. They may somehow subsititute a fake tooth into the braces. you gotta ask them, either way you'll be fine.
Reply:You should probably look forward to a root canal on the tooth with the cavity. Go now before you lose the tooth. The other one (missing one) - you have several options, keep a partial plate, or you can have an implant if you want to go through all of that.
Reply:omg, ur kinda lucky cuz u had a retainer w/ the front tooth lol, i lost one of my front tooth because i had braces at a really yong age...long story, anyway just saying this bcuz i thought i was the only one w/ this problem, i'm having a little trouble w/ my teeth or not, idk if i should get veeners.

Reply:probably give u braces and take out the one dark tooth and put a fake one there.
Reply:The cavity should only need to have a filling. It's easy and quick and amazing how much of a difference it makes....If you wait too long to go to the doc, it will definitely get worse and lead to more problems like maybe needing a root canal or extraction. As far as the missing tooth, you could get an implant or a bridge or another removable appliance or keep the one you have. Either way, just find someone (dentist) you're comfortable with and let them guide you. All the best!
Reply:You can have braces to fix the other problems even if you are missing a front tooth, the one you have can be fixed probably with a filling. Once you treatment with braces is over you can get an implant or a bridge to fix the missing tooth problem.
