I'd love to have lumineers but dentists tell me it's impossible because of the shape of my teeth. Anyone else?

I was in a car wreck when I was three and got my 2 front teeth knocked out. I went for years until my permanent teeth came in and then I had retainers and braces for years after that. I am so self-conscious about my teeth but no one wants to do anything to really correct them. I am grateful I had the braces .. I would have looked much worse without them .. but I would like to look even better, ya know? Has anyone ever been told they can't have lumineers because of the shape of their teeth? Doesn't sound right to me...

yeah you definitely gotta have the right shape of teeth. i bet your smile is gorgeous either way, don't worry about it.
Reply:that doesn't sound right. i'd go see some other dentists. maybe your dentist isn't up to the challenge. Don't give up!
Reply:Lumineers fit on you teeth like a very thin glove, so don't shape your teeth. Only way left for you to shape your teeth would be crowns, or further braces (now they are almost invisible) and suprised that your dentist just gave up on you.
