What can I do for the pain after teeth extraction?

I got two permanent teeth removed today and they hurt like crazy! I dont know why but it made the rest of my day depressing.

What can I take or do for the pain?

Im getting the other two bicuspids removed in two weeks but the dentist didnt give me anything for the pain.

What can I do for the pain after teeth extraction?
Take 600 - 800 mg of ibuprofen every 4 - 6 hours

Salt water rinses should not done until the day after extractions.
Reply:I like the combination of oral gel , alleve , and gargling with warm salt water. but next time remember to ask for something a little more potent.
Reply:Its unusual for the doctor not to give you anything for pain after an extraction. At the very least, he should have advised you as to what over the counter pain meds to use. But since he didn't, I would suggest that you get yourself a bottle of Advil Liquid-Gels and take the prescription strength of 600 mg. (3 gel caps) every 6 hours. Also rinse your mouth out with warm salty water as often as you need to. Make sure that the water is very salty.
