8 Year old son's permanent tooth is coming in over the top of the baby tooth - should I be concerned?
No, there are tons of people whose teeth come in like that. DO NOT be concerned unless the baby tooth doesn't start coming loose.
Reply:Should pull the baby tooth out. If you can't do it, go to a dentist right away. It is important.

The child's tooth will come in crooked. It's not fair to the child.
Reply:DAD,

BY 8 YEARS OF AGE, THIS BABY TOOTH SHOULD HAVE COME LOOSE. BRING YOUR CHILD TO A DENTIST FOR A POTENTIAL EXTRACTION OF THIS BABY TOOTH SO THAT THE PERMANENT MAY GROW UNHINDERED.
Reply:i would call his dentist and ask them if there should be any concern.
Reply:You should take him to a dentist and let him decide if it needs to be pulled or let nature take its course.

It might cause the permanent tooth to come in crooked. The normal procedure is for the baby tooth to come out and then, later, the permanent tooth shows up. He will have the permanent tooth for the rest of his life so it should be taken care of. Good luck. Pops
Reply:Baby teeth drops from age 4 years to about 10 or 11 years old I am studying primary 2 this year but I have only drop a few of my milk teeth.I convince you to bring the child to the dentist because the tooth may drop when the child is sleeping because when I am studying the 3rd year of kindergarden one of my tooth drop when I was sleeping!Sometimes the milk teeth drops and the permanent tooth grows in a few days.Any way you should be concerned.Make sure the child do not eat hard-chewing food because the loose tooth will cause a toothache.
