Is it good having your permanent tooth wiggle a bit?

i know its not good, but i'm just asking

Is it good having your permanent tooth wiggle a bit?
If a permanent tooth is wiggling, it probably means that there is some bone loss around the tooth...and no, that's not good. Sometimes, if you get hit in the mouth and a tooth will start to wiggle, if you hold it in place, the tooth will "cement" itself back in, so to speak. I have seen teeth completely knocked out that were transplanted back into their sockets and lasted forever.

My best suggestion would be to go to a dentist for an evaluation. They will take an x-ray to check for bone loss or gingival recession (gums growing away from the tooth). They can often treat it with deep cleaning followed by self care at home.

Good Luck. ..oh, and if you notice any drainage, foul odor or fever, you definitely need to see a dentist right away. This can indicate actual infection in the bone which can lead to serious problems down the road.
Reply:not at all, you should visit a dentist, you might lost it :O
Reply:yeah!!!! its not good.ask a dentist.it could mean your gum is rotting or your tooth root is weak.
Reply:Gracesgirl is exactly correct !! One other thing that i might add is that some people can get slight "wiggling" if their teeth don't occlude properly....traumatic occlusion is what it's called. Be sure to have your bite checked also, if nothing else shows up in your dental exam.
