Do puppy's teeth grow in and then fall out then the permanent grow in like a child?

i have a puppy who is 9 weeks old and his teeth are still growing .he likes to pull or bite on anything he can and we where not sure if his teeth would get pullin out

Do puppy%26#039;s teeth grow in and then fall out then the permanent grow in like a child?
Yes, puppies have 28 deciduous (temporary) teeth and 42 permanent teeth. Puppies have no teeth at birth, and grow deciduous teeth beginning their second week of life. At three months of age, the deciduous teeth begin to be replaced by the permanent teeth.

Please don%26#039;t try pulling any out by yourself. They will fall out naturally, and if you%26#039;re lucky, you might even find one or two to keep in your puppy%26#039;s scrapbook :-)

You can give your dog ice cubes to chew on to help with the discomfort, or you can freeze an old wash cloth, but make your watch your pup carefully when he%26#039;s chewing on the wash cloth.

The replacement process begins with the incisors, and moves backwards through the canines, premolars and finally the molars. The turnover process is usually complete by the time the dog is eight months old, with none of the original 28 deciduous teeth remaining. Most deciduous teeth are swallowed with food and never seen by the pet owner. Occasionally, a deciduous tooth is merely pushed to the side and retained next to the permanent tooth. Retained deciduous teeth can be removed by a veterinarian.

The incisors turn over from deciduous to permanent from two to four months of age. The canines usually convert around six months of age. The premolars and molars follow in that order, with the last permanent molar erupting around eight months of age.

The exact schedule does vary from breed to breed.

Reply:You puppy is still young. I remember when I first got my dog his teeth used to fall out all the time. They are perminant now. It is normal.
Reply:yes they do lose teeth like us so dont worry
Reply:The loose their teeth just like a child. Just be careful in play. It will be a few months from now before the adult teeth start to erupt. So in the mean time, if you%26#039;re concerned you%26#039;ll break the teeth he has and uses now, just kinda keep an eye on the play.
Reply:He%26#039;ll start to teeth approx 14-16 weeks of age. At that time he%26#039;ll lose his current teeth and gain his adult teeth. They aren%26#039;t as sharp, and are much nicer !

Don%26#039;t be pullin out teeth.
Reply:yes,

of course.
Reply:Yes. Puppies lose their baby teeth just like children. Of course dogs grow faster than people and so do their teeth. When your puppy starts chewing on everything that means that they%26#039;re teething. But they are not like babies. They%26#039;re not going to cry. And unless you look in their mouths everyday you probably won%26#039;t notice.
Reply:yes they do.
Reply:Like humans, dogs have two sets of teeth in their lives. The 28 baby teeth erupt through the gums between the third and sixth weeks of age. Puppies do not have to grind much food, so they do not have molars. Puppy teeth begin to shed and be replaced by permanent adult teeth at about four months of age. Although there is some variation in breeds, most adult dogs have 42 teeth, with the molars coming last, at about six or seven months.

hope that helps!
